Over the course of last week four UW-Whitewater student media members had the opportunity to attend the NFL as credentialed media. Their experiences began Wednesday with interviewing the 2024 Heisman Trophy winner and runner up, Travis Hunter and Ashton Jeanty. Throughout Wednesday they got to interview NFL live event coordinators and directors about how the league’s biggest off-season event is put on.
During the first two days of the NFL Draft the four UW-W media members walked the campus of the site while they collected content that will be aired in various ways throughout the coming weeks.
For 91.7 The Edge, Parker Olsen interviewed fans, locals and NFL Draft event organizers to hear about the event’s major impact on the city of Green Bay and what goes into making the event happen. Also from 91.7, Chris Pittner interviewed fans on their reaction to the Packers’ first round pick and hosted trivia segments about the NFL Draft.
From UWW-TV, Gabe Sadoski and Josh Jacobi conducted various interviews with fans, draft prospects and locals about their experiences, the impact on the city and the reaction to Green Bay’s pick.
The four of them took advantage of a once in a lifetime opportunity and now are making the content they collected into shareable packages.
