Our NEW Fall Concert Series: Rocktoberfest
After this year's through the roof response on our event on Friday, October 30th, we are proud to announce that we will be working to make Rocktoberfest a yearly October event!
This year's event took place in Jitters Coffeehouse from 8-11PM and featured four amazing artists and bands.
UW-Whitewater graduate student Caryana Dominguez opened the event with music on her violin and publicized the event's costume contest with her costume "Phantom of the Rock-ra", which one her Best Individual Artist Costume.

Following Caryana, artist Rayven and her crew traveled all the way from Racine, WI to perform some original music and never-before-heard song "HOW TO LOVE ME". Her group dressed as a variety of Spidermen from across dimensions, which made for an out-of-this-world photo op!

ExponentialBowling started picking up the pace with their sets, featuring original music and covers. Their team took home the Best Dressed Group with their Scooby Gang costumes!

Eliptica concluded the night with some cover music by a variety of artists and really dove into the rock of the night! Both artists and audience like were dancing all the way to the event's close.

Jacob Dumonceaux as Scary Frog took home the Scariest Costume.

Gage Decker as Ash Ketchum took home Best DIY.

Quinn Nothnagel of Eliptica as Gerard Way took home Best Music Icon.

This event's sponsors were Retroville Games, The Greenehouse, and Toppers Pizza.

Retroville Games and the Greenehouse supplied two raffle baskets, and Toppers Pizza supplied food and beverages for staff, artists, and attendees! Our partner Jitters Cofeehouse worked with us to create drink of the night Lookin' for Treble, which was a fan-favorite!
Trysta Rae and Zen of Rayven won the Retroville Games basket.

Abby Zick won the Greenehouse Golden Ticket for them and a friend.

Jack Egnew won the event's grand prize of an electric bass guitar!

The event was full-house almost immediately upon opening and quite literally blew the walls off. Attendees filtered outside before it got too cold to enjoy a calmer, quieter experience.

On top of the raffles and costume contests, 91.7 The Edge also brought their Tuesday/Thursday Bake Sale to the event and sold out of almost EVERYTHING, bringing in a huge amount of donations for the radio station.

The event could not have been put on without our amazing staff, sponsors, artists, and especially our sound engineer TJ Borkenhagen, a UW-Whitewater alumn and 91.7 The Edge favorite, who generously came back to guarantee excellent sound.

Thank you to everyone who came out to enjoy Rocktoberfest and support Whitewater's local college radio!
